16LA Hydraulic Control Valve Parts

Hi,
I'm new to the posting scene on TBN. I've done lots of reading on the site and get loads of information from here.

I have a TC40D with a 16LA loader. The control valve is very lose and upon inspection, I found that the connector rod is very worn out where the stick connects to the valve assembly. I was wondering if anyone knew where to get replacement parts for these that doesn't cost $30+ each. On Messicks, it's $33 each for the lift/lower connectors (part 86400431) and $46 for the bucket actuator (part 86400430).

It would be nice to locate parts that cost less .... but, usually when the parts begin with "tractor" or "boat", the price goes up

Yes, but perhaps someone may know of a metal shop or something of the like that can make these parts much cheaper than the manufacturers of the tractors or boats. *hopes*

Your problem sounds just like the problem I have with my TC40D loader

What I have found with all the machining required it is more expensive to have them custom made. I use that as a last resort when parts are no longer available from the manufacturer. Using the old part for a template makes measurements a little difficult, especially with small parts. Best bet is to get the original parts. Keep everything lubricated and they should last another 10-15 years.
