Yes you will have to bleed the system.
On page 32 of the owners manual there are 4 steps.
1. Be sure there is adequate fuel in the fuel tank.
2. Open the fuel shut-off valve.
3. open the bleed screw at the pump and let the air bubbles escape, then close the bleed screw.
4. Push the hand throttle to the high speed position. Turn the engine over for a few seconds to bleed the high pressure fuel tube.
WARNING: Fuel oil in the injection system is under high pressure and can penetrate the skin.
It takes a 10mm wrench for the bleed screw. Remember to clean the sediment bowl before installing the new filter.
