1725 starting issues

The battery is good, and I have checked the neutral safety relay for continuity, and the fuses. I checked the ignition switch for continuity as well--all positions are good. I do get a glow plug and red light, but no starting--it acts as if the safety relay is active.

What is the best next step? Pull the alternator and have it tested? Check the solenoid on the starter? We ranch and I would like to avoid a service call or trailer in.

Does it turn over or do you just hear the clicking of the starter.

It does not turn over. There is usually one click and then nothing.
In thinking it over, I guess I should check the voltage between the battery and solenoid when I turn it to start.

If the battery is good, check the connections to the starter. My 1910 just started to act up (clicking) cleaned the connection up and no problems. It had lots of corrosion. If that's not it I would check ground to frame from battery. Hope this helps.
