I have a Mahindra 1815 that while I was using it yesterday the bolts for the front axle (that bolts the cross member to the tractor) backed out and allowed the axle to shift. Fortunately, I was creeping when it happened and I stopped right away. It looks like the former owner had this problem at some point in the past and had installed bolt without locking washers (I'm assuming this is the case since they where not metric but american threaded bolts holding it on). I was able to get the axle reattached, but the joint that connects the 11t pinion to the drive shaft for the front wheel drive is missing (what I found there was the remnants of what looked like a plastic pipe that may have been his 'fix':confused2
. In looking at the parts for the tractor, I can easily find the 11T pinion in the steering section, but I can't seem to find where the drive comes from the transmission. The closest thing I can find is on the MFD PTO page...would the FWD be considered part of the MFD PTO? Since what I think is the part (Item 2, page 11 of 13 of the MFD PTO page, p/n 10261912BR0) costs over $100 and I'm going to be ordering several other parts (the cover b shaft is damaged and I don't even see anything on my tractor that looks like item 6, pipe which is why I'm confused) I just want to verify that I'm looking at the correct section. Can anyone help verify that this is what I need?
Thanks in advance for any help.
