I am looking to source a hydraulic side link for my 1840M and haven't found one yet. Apparently, ball top sidelinks for Cat 1 hitches aren't too popular as I haven't found a candidate link at the usual sources. Asking to see if anyone has found one before committing to a custom link from Fit Right Hydraulics.

I'm a cheapskate and don't like to wait months for something I paid for, so I made my own. I had to modify the lower connection since the cylinder wouldn't clear the rearend when down. I don't remember where I got the cylinders, but they came with the locks and hoses for less than a single cylinder from FRH.

Just a comment from left field -- unless you have a LOT of need for adjusting the angle of some implement I would never waste a remote on an hydraulic side link. Not worth the cost either...

Good point, if I can wait the 5+ months for a custom one then perhaps I don't really need one...

It was worth it to me for a back-blade. Also why I got locks on my cylinders. When set at a normal position, the hoses can be pulled from the couplers and the remote used on another implement. Perhaps like a side-shift flail mower. The locks take the pressure, not a disconnected hose. ;)

Many people wonder why they would want a hydraulic side link. My answer is that if you will be doing much grading at all, having a hydraulic side link will make getting the grade that you want that much easier and faster to achieve.

If you need to ditch alongside your road, put a crown on that road, or cut a level area into a sloped area, all of this is much easier when you have a hydraulic side link. It is so much more convenient to be able to tilt your implement with a simple touch of your finger on a hydraulic control lever vs stopping your tractor, getting off the tractor, making the manual adjustment, and hoping that you make that adjustment correct, get back onto the tractor and proceed. Then in just a short distance, stopping and doing it all over again. And then doing that same thing over and over and over again and again.

This leads to what I call "it's good enough syndrome" and that is because you simply get tired of continually stopping, getting on-off over and over. So you end up calling it good enough and let it go at that. The end result is not what you want, but "it's good enough" and you let it go as is even though it is not the end result that you were looking for.

Of all the side links that I have sold, I have only heard of one person saying that they would not purchase it again. It's one of those things that it only takes a single project to appreciate it. If you have a drive that needs regular maintenance, then it most likely would be beneficial.

Everyone does not need this, but those that do are happy to have the capabilities that it provides. ;)

Yes I am looking for Hyd top and side link for Kioti 52 hp. Where do I find these other than dealer? Local dealer says side links are a problem. Why... dont know seems they are the same cylinder as top link..

Why would you say that they are the same? Yes the same diameter and rod size, but the ends are completely different as are the strokes.
If you would like a total top & tilt quote, please go to the following link and fill out the contact page.
