1900 getting warmer than normal

One other thing to check on the pump. Check the fan shaft for in-out play. When the pump shaft is loose with movement in and out it is shot and needs replacing. The belt keeping the pulley aligned may be the only thing keeping the shaft from comming apart from the pump which was the problem I had.

I haven't had a chance to work on it yet. The reason I was thinking it may be the impeller on the water pump is that when it is running at normal temp with the radiator cap off I dont see a lot of circulation. When I previously change the thermostat (1year ago) I remember waching the thermostat open and the flow increase across the top of the radiator. It's not flowing like that now.

TB here are some pics. It's not a beauty queen, it's a work horse.

Nice machine Hooked! Im guessing it has a the 3 cylinder diesel? Did you add the roll bar, or did it come with it? I am looking to get one for my 1700. The frame on your 1900 looks the same as my 1700. Thanks for the pictures. TB

The 1900 is 3 cyl. That is the factory ROPS. At first I thought it was homade but then I saw the same one on several others. I have thought about makeing a different one. This one is short and the top of my head is above it and I am only 5'9".

If you are worried about rolling your tractor over just add a roll bar C shaped to the top of that one. Put a couple brackets and bolt it on or weld it to the existing top horizontal bar. I have not heard of anyone rolling thier tractor yet, but I guess it is a possibility if you have some slopes. Nice looking loader you have on it.:) I like the limb grabber on the bucket.

JC, where did you get the radiator hose from? My hoses look like the origionals so it wouldn't hurt to change them. The first thing I did was check the screen and clean the outside of the radiator.
Bill

You say that you cleaned the outside of the radiator, what about deep into the core? Often grass and seed will clog the airside of the core, deep where you cannot see it. The lower hose is also a good canadate for blocking flow.
