1900 rear lift

Had the jerky lift problem for some time. Utube showed problem. Replaced crumbled seal in piston in sleeve under seat. Worked lift arms a bit to get rod properly seated in back/bottom of piston and bolted back up ok. Hydro fluid full. Flow control valve in middle position. Lift won’t lift. I can manually lift the arms. Front loader won’t lift. PTO works , tractor will move forward and backward. Took back apart, everything is in correct orientation. Put back together and still won’t work. I know this is something simple, but I can’t see it. Is there a bleed procedure somehow?

If the tractor has a standard transmission the PTO likely runs off the transmission not the hydraulics. It sounds like you've no hydraulic pressure. If you have plenty of fluid your pump may have lost its prime or the filter or screen may be plugged. Beyond that you may be looking at a new hydraulic pump but if it worked before it should still work.

The weather has gotten down to one degree which is very cold for n ga. Not above freezing for several days. I’ve let it run for a good bit but think the hyd screen maybe frozen, clogged to the point oil won’t flow. Pulling the filter on one of these is more than a pain. Hopefully it will free up with some warmer weather before I take a torch to it.

You will always have condensation that collect in the diffy that serves as the hyd oil reservoir. The diffy is atmospherically vented by the vent hole and a cap right behind the seat. I think you have some of the condensation and oil mixture turn to ice with this severe cold. I had to pull someone out of a ditch with my Kubota. It started but with a lot of coughing and hacking, but even when the engine was relatively warm the 3 point was very slow along with the loader.

It was frozen. Sorta works now but still sluggish. Thanks for the looks.
