I would like to add a front loader to a LB1914 4x4 Kioti. Where would I attach the hydraulic lines? Could I use a Kubota front pump that attaches to the crankshaft or does Kioti have one? thanks, gregjo1948

I think it had the same diverter valve as the LK series. Can you post a picture of where the hydraulic lines go on the side of the transmission?

I am not aware of a front pump but anything is possible.

There is a splined shaft sticking out from the front of the crankshaft. I just assumed it was for a front pump but, it may be for a belly mower. There is also a cutout in the frame for a shaft to run forward.

This is a picture of a LB1914 with a loader. The hoses go to this diverter valve. It is similar to my LK2554. You just can make out the knob in this picture but you rotate it when you have a loader installed then it will send the fluid to the loader valve first. This is block I was asking if you could take a picture of.

I don't quite understand where the loader hoses/lines go. I see that I'm looking down on the valve and looks to be 4 lines attached. There appears to be 2 hex head plugs between the existing lines so, is that where the loader lines go?

Yes that is the hoses for the loader valve. Sorry I should have been clearer. Here is a picture of mine that shows the knob you turn after running the hoses. I marked the hoses and circled the valve in green.

P is power that feeds the loader valve.
T is the return to tank from the loader valve.
PB is the power beyond line from the loader valve. This one is what feeds the 3pt hitch valve.

Great picture. I'm not at the tractor location now but, tomorrow I'll check to see if mine looks the same. Do the Kioti loaders use part of the frame as the hydraulic fluid reservoir or will I have to find/build one?

The transmission is the reservoir for the hydraulic system. It uses universal tractor fluid which is designed for wet brakes. It also is the lube for the gears of the transmission.

OK--I have an old 580B Case backhoe/loader that uses the loader frame as the reservoir. Does Kubota use the same loader on any of their tractors that would work on the LB1914 Kioti?

I am not aware of a Kubota loader that would be a direct fit. There may be a aftermarket loader out there but I can not recommend one.

I will offer that it may be easier and less expensive in the long run to sell the LB1914 and buy a different tractor with the loader already installed. Of course you can make almost any properly sized loader work but it would take some fab work to make the mounts. Finding a stand alone loader will be challenging.

Then there is those people I admire that just built their loader from scratch. @ptsg is one that built a really nice one. I will try to locate a link to his build thread on this forum.

Edit to post the link.
