I'm the new owner of a 1920 with manuals on order.
I have figured everything out on the tractor except:
I cannot find how to turn on the rear worklight on the right fender. Any ideas?

I would check the ground on the light to fender. If it has the toggle switch under a fubber boot, make sure the switch is hot. Most of the compacts I have worked on, the ignition switch has to be on for the lights to work. Also check the connectors where the wires go up through the fender and also behind the seat.

Thanks NV,
What I can't find is the actual switch that turns it on.
I did verify that it is grounded and that the bulb is good.

Most I've seen have a toggle switch on the light with a rubber boot over it.

I opened up the light and can see where the two wires enter the case and connect directly to the lightbulb. I chased the hot wire down to the wiring harness where it enters under the dashboard. It's silly, but driving me nuts. Might have to ask the dealer.

Before I realized you were talking about a Ford Model 1920, I thought you were talking about a year 1920 Tractor. I was going to say you need to light those with a match. :D

There may be some in-line fuses under the dash. Check the line that feeds the work light switch or the line that feeds the light switch. The work light switch may get power from the head light switch or the back of the dash.

Talked to the dealer today.
He said that it is powered on by the ignition, and that some had a button on the light to turn it off.

Looks like I have a short somewhere.

Does it come on when the headlights are on

Mine comes on when you turn on the headlights and there is no switch on mine.

Au_K9s ! Did you check the bulb to see if its blown out? I owned a 1920 for 12 years and the rear light came on when you turned on the front headlights and had no switch. Check bulb, check fuse, check wire and check for good contact on everything. Good luck! Ken
