Question: I just purchased a used 1925 hydrostatic 4 wheel drive NH tractor and was wondering if someone could tell me the difference between the 1925 and the TC33. From what I can tell they are the same tractor? Also when I engage the mid point PTO it makes a rather noticable "gear" noise, is this common, if not is there engagement adjustment?

Thanks DBR

Hi DBR, I also just purchased a 1925.

I have never turned on my mid PTO.

I believe that we just basicly have an early model, or predecessor of the TC33.

The overrunning clutch thing for bush hogs that is mentioned on another post applies to our tractors as well according to NH tech services. (assuming you have the hydro)

Could you do me a favor, and look at how you warm your glow plugs please?

My key has three positions, off, run, and cranking

The little glow plug light does not come on unless it is in the "cranking" position and the engine is cranking, unless I have the tractor in gear.

The manual say's to put it to the warm position and wait 10 seconds, but I have not figured out where that position is yet.

I will fire up my mid PTO next time I am on my tractor.

Mine is about a 98.

Hi, on my 1320 you turn the key backwards to warm the glow plugs or turn it forward in between the run and cranking position to warm the plugs.

Alan, my tractor had a new switch replaced prior to my purchase and not sure it is factory correct. To glow the plugs I turn the key left, then right to start.

Do you know what the HP specs are?

I wonder if mine is wrong somehow. Mine just may be bad. I need to spend some time with a test light.

I forgot to run my mid PTO yesterday, sorry.

They are rated at either 32 or 34 horse, depends on what you are reading. I figure roughly the predecessor to the TC33.

Ran my tractor today, and remembered to turn on the mid PTO, no noise whatsoever, had to get off and look to make sure it was spinning and not broke. I have nothing on it, and it would not suprise me if it had never been turned on before (and probably will not again)

Picked up my new King Kutter Bush Hog today though. Now just need to go through it a bit.

does your ignition switch have 3 or 4 positions? Like Off, run, Glow, Crank????

Alan,
Would you post a note about the King Kutter assembly. I'd be curious if you have problems similar to mine. I had to do a couple trips to the hardware store to get mine assembled.

It's worked great for me after the assembly though!
