Just wanted to post a picture of our FUTURE retirement home in Altair, Texas. It is a 1940 farmhouse on 8 acres covered with live oak trees.
My BX23 will be avble to stretch his legs and run and play!

Congtratulations!!! That is a pretty part of Texas. Many years back while I was in graduate school at UT Austin, we would go through Altair on our way to Houston.

I know you will enjoy your new place.

That's Altair???? /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif never saw anything that pretty while making the corner from 90 -> 71 on my way to Bastrop. You must have that hid back in a corner somewhere ... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif Very nice .... prettier than down here huh? Can't wait to retire and move out of this hurricane target zone. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Hey Mikim,
I know what you mean about "Hurricane Alley". We now live in Manvel just north of Hiway 6. I'm always reminded of that old Animals song...We gotta Get outta This Place....uh oh I just dated myself! /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif
The farmhouse is located down a dead end street just west of Rice High School. That whole area is full of Oaks and Deer.
I'll send another picture to prove that last one wasn't a "mirage".

Hey Kyle,
Well the time to retire is 2 years, 9 months, 22 days....or less....but who's counting?
My old buddy, TxDon, has gone and left me fending for myself /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif So, I'm wondering how much longer I can hold on... /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
We used to work together and put alot of them fire settin' varmints in the hokey where they belong! /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
So, this is the first step in the direction of retirement! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
