1948 ford 8n weak fire

arm kind of new to this I have a 1948 Ford 8n that has week fire and or no fire so far I've replaced the coil points condenser wires and I had put a new resistor on it before I install new coil only problem is now I get a very weak fire or no fire situation ppl will be grateful

Is the tractor 6 volts and did you replace the coil with a 6 volt one?

tell me what coil and resistor you used, what you gapped plugs at, and what you gapped points at?

Set the points to .015 well I bought from Tractor Supply along with the wires and plugs I don't remember what the plug gap was the resistor I bought from NAPA Auto Parts

doubt napa has the correct resistor.

plugs gap at .025


points from tsc? that means they are lowest possible quality tisco points. many report them not working right out of the package, built wrong, unable to gap correctly without mods, and the metal contacts being varnisd and not contacting, not striking square, hing bad, hinge insulator bad, and or contacts they corrode so badle day to day that they need fieling each use.
