Howdy, my model MC has an oil lubricated fan bearing--you remove a small screw every 10 hours, fill the bearing with 30 weight, turn the fan so the excess oil runs out, then replace the screw. It is a nuisance and I have thought about tapping the hole for a grease fitting. Has anyone tried this? I wonder if the grease would get in there as well as the oil....seems it would last longer, though. Thanks for any replies.
