1955 Ford 640
I ended up as the caretaker for a community owned tractor. She ran pretty good in the 800- 1700 RPM range but wouldn稚 idle lower and was balky at higher RPM痴. Today I put a timing light to her and confirmed the mechanical advance simply doesn稚.

A look inside the distributor revealed 50+ years of rust and assorted goop. I pulled the weights and cleaned them, however before I put them back in I would like to find out what the proper lubricant is for the weights. I have to go find breaker cam grease and may as well pick up the right lube for the weights.

Thanks,

John
