Just started using my tractor this year and the Lift Control Lever is very hard to pull up. It will move with a lot of force and it will lift the 5 foot rotary cutter but again it requires way too much effort to move the lever.

Any help or suggestion would be appreciated.

Thanks. Tom

Start with the linkage between the lever and where it “enters” the tractor case. Lube and adjust as needed.

Thanks. I sprayed some WD40 on the friction disk and that did help but it still requires more force to move the shift lever than it should. If I remove the shift lever to inspect and lube will there be springs etc. that will make it difficult to reinstall?

The last thing I needs is parts flying everywhere. LOL.

No clue on that without photos of what you want to take apart.
