You can use the same oil in all three sumps, transmission, hydraulics, and rear axle. Use CNH 134D (Ambra) or equivalent oil.

There are two fill plugs beneath the seat for the hydraulic sump and the rear axle.

The transmission fill/level plug is on the right side and is a common square head pipe plug. Many folks install a street L in the port to facilitate filling and allow another quart or two of oil. The added oil is recommended if one operates the tractor on hillsides.

The hydraulic oil level is checked with the dip stick on the right side behind the footboard. The rear axle oil level is checked at the level plug on the left side of the left axle trumpet at the rear.

FWIW: There is a filter beneath the transmission top cover. Almost certainly it has been decades since it was last changed (if ever). DO NOT attempt to remove the top cover for any reason unless and until you have procured a proper Ford shop manual and read and understood the R & R procedures. Doing so can cause very expensive damage.

Get a proper Ford owners manual.

skip4x4man per our I&T Ford shop manual FO-31 that covers our 1966 3000 Ford tractor in paragraph 231 it states for the Select-O-Speed the recommended fluid is Ford Spec # M2C41-A transmission and hydraulic oil. I noticed our I&T manual going into detail as how to make band adjustments, etc. Their FO-20 manual should be specific your year and model.

Below is one answer on the type of UTF to use in tractors calling for M2C41-A UTF by a person named Chad.

There are two fill plugs (not pipe plugs) under the seat on the left side. The one closest to the front is the hydraulic sump fill, the one behind is the rear axle fill.
