Doing a restoration on my 1962 MF 50 and am having difficulty with the disassembly. Specifically, I can't get the steering wheel off. I have the service manuals and they show the retaining nut and washer. After that, it looks like it should just pull off of the shaft with a little help from a gear puller, but mine won't budge. I've soaked it repeatedly over several weeks with PB Blaster to no avail. I'm thinking about torching it to see if I can get some expansion of the wheel hub. I don't care if I destroy the steering wheel. I need to replace it anyway. Any thoughts out there? Thanks in advance.
