I have seen many posts with steering gear problems on this tractor model. Very poor design with 2 pins worked by a worm gear. Replacement parts are impossible to find so when mine wore out, I had a machine shop make a new one. Now one of the pins is broken again after only 2 years. This is a great old tractor except for the steering gear. Has anyone come up with a conversion for this steering system?
