Hey all, Thanks in advance for any and all help received, very much appreciated.
Moving some stuff around the property last week, suddenly started missing pretty bad, but still ran enough to finish and make it to the garage. Started it the next morning and confirmed, A Bad Miss.
Today I pulled the valve cover and found my Miss. Number 3 intake push rod was bent something feirce ! And exhaust push rod was not under the rocker. Rocker assembly appears to be in working order, nothing bent. Springs , retainer clips and stems all there and LOOK normal, not sitting lower/compressed like it would if I bent a valve.
So any ideas or recommendations before I shove two push rods back in there, give it valve adjustment and fire it up?
I would really like to know what caused this. I figure I'll find if it was a hick up or something more serious if I fire it back up . But I do not want to cause any damage , or any more damage than I've done so far. Just can't think of any other way to check it out. Other than a compression check, but I couldn't get the injectors out when i had the head off last summer , I pretty sure I ain't getting em off now either. Maybe someone can recommend a puller that works for my specific application cause #1 injector has been needing to be replaced for a long time.
Any way so much for a quick , short post.
