Brought home a 1974 110 with an 8hp motor. The transmission has 4 fwd gears and 1 rev.
Getting it ready to do some work.
Best info I can find on the net is .625 quarts of engine oil and .75 quarts for the transmission.
I put a full quart of engine oil in and the dip stick seems to be at the top of full.
The transmission has taken about 1.5 quarts and it still isn't at the fill hole. On most transmissions, dont you fill the fluid until it gets to the fill hole?
Should I fill to the fill hole or drain the oil and put in a measured .75 quarts?
