1979 240D Turf tires

Hello All, Not sure if the tires are orig or not but have turf tires on my 240D. I now have a flat on the front left tire. Pulled the wheel off and took it to a local fleet farm store to see if they could fix it. Sales person said he couldn't fix it cause the tire was so old that he thought he'd trash it trying to remove it and also mentioned it was a split rim. Said it might take him to get the tire free from the rim and it could cost me $80.00 an hour in labor.

My question is , can this be done at home? Anyone have any experience with these rims and tires? Any good youtube videos?

I was hoping to remove the tire, replace the tube and reinstall.

Thought I'd share some pictures of the tire I was talking about. I'm curious if there are other options. Maybe new rims and tires? There is one picture of a tire and rim off my 1991 220D. Wonder if I can get rims like that?

From what I can see from your Pics. Those don't really look like Turf Tires on the front. The Rear Tires are. IMHO. I would put some Fix a Flat in the bad one and start looking for a new Wheel and Tires. Hoye at the top of the page Should have the Wheel and Tires. And Fredricks in AL. also. 80.00$ in labor for one wheel Ouch!! Look on Craigs list. There a couple of assorted Yanmar parts in Atl. Just seen 2wd YM200/240 both Front wheels and tires for 150.00$..
