Thanks for all the responses. I have been persuaded to not pursue this machine. The posts about HST and FEL make a lot of sense. I appreciate the good advice and will continue my search for the"right" tractor for me.

I paid $11,000 for my B7100 HST 4x4 with loader in 1994. It was a cost leader model at the time (old design, no power steering). I regulatory see them on Craigslist for about $5K now, often with low hours.

I barely beat that price in 1995. One dealer quoted $11,400, another $11,200 and I bought my new 1995 model from the third dealer for $10,850.:)

Just a note to the OP. I was probably wrong when I said the B1550 and B1750 had power steering. I just saw in another thread that power steering was option on these two models.
