power steering leaking around the base of the steering gear assembly. Just bought this tractor and I am not sure what the solution to this problem is, any suggestions welcome. thanks gerry

First, welcome to TBN.

I'm going to ask the moderators to move your post over to the New Holland section. There's some 1910 owners over there that may be able to help. My dad had one and it's a very nice machine.

There is an "o" ring at the base off the steering gear that is leaking. MY had the internal snap ring broken. replace the ring and "o" ring and you might get several more years out of it.

Mine has a steel tube that feeds oil into the back of the steering box. The steel tube fractured and was dripping very slowly on mine, it eventually severed the flare off the end of the tubing and was pumping fluid all over. Check that feed tube make sure it is not dripping down.
