Buying Advice 1986 Mitsubishi BD2F dozer

Have a question, I'm considering buying a 1986 BD2F, the guy says it is "direct drive". Is this different from the standard version ? and is it
a good transmission ?
I have owned J.D.s dozers over the years, this would be the first Mitsubishi dozer for me. I don't know anything about them and was hoping you could
advise me before I commit to buying.
(1) Is the direct drive good or bad, ? I could really use some help on information about this machine. I checked the web. but could not find any useful information.
Would you give me your opinion if this is a good machine or something I should stay away from, Thanking you in advance.

Have you run it??? Run it and see how you like it compared to the deere dozers you have had...

No I haven't run it, it's located a far distance from me. I'm mainly trying to find out if they are any good, such as prone to problems.

I believe all the small Japanese Cat dozers are still made by Mitsubishi, if that helps any?
