I have a 1987 Case 580 CK and I have taken the extendahoe ram out. Turned out that the steel tubing from the hose that pushes the stick out had a pin hole leak.
I took photos of the experience and can share them if anyone wants to see them. 30 years of dirt, rust, corrosion made this quite a challenge. The hollow pin took 1/2 a day to pound out with a 10 pound sledge. Have made repairs but haven't reassembled it yet. I'm sure I will run into some more adventures.
