Oil & Fuel 1989 Ford 1520

I'm servicing my newly acquired 1989 Ford 1520 3 cylinder Shibaura diesel and have a question about fuel filters. I was under the impression there were supposed to be 2, the one in the sediment bowl (87300039) and a cartridge type (83937061). I can't for the life of me find the cartridge/cannister filter. I've changed the engine oil filter and the 2 hydtrostatic/hydraulic filters OK, no problem there. Could it be there is just the sediment bowl fuel filter? I'm very happy with tractor so far, put it thru some paces today and it performed well

I just looked on the NH site and they show a duel fuel filter option. You may only have one.

I had a 1520 and it only had one filter in the fuel bowl.

thanx brewdog, it looks like I only have 1 filter too. I looked on the NH site as Bill did and found out that later years had additional filters. I'm gonna change that sediment bowl filter out and let it go at that-thanx again

watch the set screw on it and makes sure the lever is in the full open position or the tractor will run but will choke up as you give it throttle. it doesn't have to be closed by much to have that happen. you have a fantastic tractor!
