Yeah sounds like you have it under control, however you did completely disassemble the carburetor taking out all the rubber parts correct? If not most good carburetor dips will damage or dissolve the rubber parts. You have a CV type carb and it has a big diaphragm in the top of the carb that needs to be removed. And don't be intimidated it functions pretty much the same as any other carburetor.
Left the gasket in the bowl, but i have a kit so thats no big deal, learned the hard way on the fuel lines leaving them connected....but that vorces me to replace those anyway, which needs to be done on a 20+ year old machine. Which looking at those soft screws i dont think it has been into. As for the diaphram i took it off the top and its NOT in the cleaner as i did not know what would or would not be in the kit. So its basically the main body and the bowl, i also took off that air control screw gasket/plate thing, and its not in the cleaner.
