Hey, I need to replace the hydraulic line that comes off the bottom left of the hydraulic pump. I have removed the front grill and moved the fluid cooler out of the way. I have removed the 2 bolts that hold the pump on. How do I remove/detach the driveshaft/PTO from the pump? It appears that the hydraulic line is attached to the pump via a manifold that has 4 bolts holding it to the pump. I can't really see it because the tractor frame is in the way. That is why I am trying to lift the pump up enough to get to the hose bolts. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

the clamps are in two pieces ( 2 "C" shapes), you shouldn't have to remove everything to get to the bolts, but to answer your question, the pump just slides into the splines on the shaft yoke, nothing holds it on. *** be very sure to grease and inspect both the u-joints on the pump shaft while you are in there, a failure of this shaft will ruin so very expensive pieces! Be sure to replace that o-ring that mounts the line to the pump, and if you're draining the tank, it's a great chance to remove the screen from the outlet and clean it.
Thanks joecdeere, I actually figured that out today while taking the 2 bolts off that I could actually get to. I was excited to see that I didn't have to remove the pump too. Thanks for your advice on the u-joints and cleaning the screen. I was able to get the hydraulic hose off and examined it and found the leak. It has a worn out spot on it from rubbing the frame somewhere. All of the other hydraulic lines are original and showing signs of dry rot/wear. This hose is the second one I've had to replace in the past 2 weeks. This is my first tractor, any other advice for me? Thanks again!!!
