I've found a 1993 B1750 Kubota with about 550 HRS on it. It has a 60" Kubota belly mower. It appears to be in good condition. He's asking $6700 for it. What kind of a deal is it at that price? Also, is this a reliable tractor model? I would primarily use it to cut about 5 acres of grass. Also, would it give me a nice finish cut? Thanks in advance for the help.

My first tractor was a B1750. Pros: Nice tractor, easy to work on, reliable as heck, light enough not to leave ruts on a semi-muddy lawn, the belly mower did a fantastic job on my seven acre meadow. Cons: a little weak in the hydraulic capacity, the FEL wasn't much more useful than a wheelbarrow, the tractor was too light to handle heavy chores.

But my definition of a heavy chore would be to drag home an entire maple tree to be cut up for firewood. Or to pick up boulders so large they had to be chained into the bucket. That's why I traded up to an L3010. Your chores sound much lighter than mine, so the 1750 would be a good choice for you.

Oh, and did I mention that after driving it for two years and putting 600 hours on the B1750...I sold it for more than I originally paid for it? Kubota holds its value well!

Check machinerylink.com for comparative prices. There is no listing for a 1993, but there is for 1992 and 1994. The prices they show are a little higher than what you found, and that does not include the mower. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Just traded mine in for a b2400.Got a lot more than that for it. Mine had a loader on it but it sounds like a good price.Great for mowing and tilling ect. To me a bucket is a piece of equip. that I cant do without though.

I have a B1750 HST also and use it to maintain 5 acres. From cutting 2 acres of meadow, to cutting and dragging trees, to hauling stone and dirt (especially mulch), this machine can do it all. It does so well, that I often try and do things a bit out of it's league, like push over trees and put too much weight in the bucket, etc.. the tractor is always requested at church work day to load wheel barrows and gators with mulch.

This winter was no match for this machine with the heavy snow accumulation. I used it to plow out most of the neighbors and even drove it 3 miles to work to help plow the shopping center sidewalks.

My only complaints is that on two separate occasions, I had to have the brackets for the belly mower welded back to the frame. I also wish they made more three point hitch attachments that matched the size of my tractor. Most attachments are designed for the larger sub-compact class of tractors.

I've had some trouble finding rental implements for my 1860, everything is a little big. Tractor Supply has some for reasonable prices, but I'd rather rent than buy. I'd only use a tiller once maybe twice a year. Hard to justify the expense for that.
