I hope this is in the correct place. I have searched for months for the same problem I am having with no luck. I have a 1993 ford 6640 sle with a cab. It starts and runs great, but the tranmission display area is dead. This is the earlier analog type dash. I have been able to shift in and out of gears and the display would suddenly be active and show the gear selection etc. Then it would work the rest of the day until they key is turned off. Now it seams to be out, the tramission display is simply 4 blank gray spots. I did blow a hydraulic line and lose a lot of oil a couple months back, but that was refilled and filters replaced. The hydraulics in the 3 pt and steering work as nothing is wrong. There are only around 2500 hrs on the tractor. When it did work from time to time, the clutch worked perfectly.
