1993 Yanmar B 50 Excavator

Help, I'm looking at a 1993 B-50 with 5K hours. My local dealer sez parts are just about impossible to get and suspects the machine is a grey Market deal. Any input would be appreciated also any good reference sites?? Asking price is 18K which I think is about double what it worth if parts are not available.

If you want to know if it's grey market or not, here is the Yanmar website that lists which ones were US import, and which ones were grey, by model and serial number.

In any case, 18k sounds pretty high for a 22yr old machine with 5k hours. You should be able to do a LOT better than that by looking around some. There was a B50 here on Craig's List recently for 8k (don't know if grey or not)
