I have a 1998 L2900 with 340 hours. Bought a new land Pride bush hog, hooked it up.....the PTO will not engage. All of the levers are connected and working . Any help before I drag it down to the dealer would be appreciated!!!
I also have a 1998 L2900. No problems with PTO yet.
More information please ... I don't understand.
Levers are connected and working (you can feel PTO gears grind if you don't push the clutch in far enough) AND PTO will not engage (when you release the clutch nothing happens .... no load on engine, absolutely nothing?)
The PTO on your L2900 is an independent pto... It should have nothing to do with the clutch...
your pto lever is attached to a cable, I suspect the cable ends are not secure, check both the inner wire and the outer shield Both must be fastened for the cable to properly work...
