It's not brand new but just about with only 40 hours on it.
Likes:
1. Power
Seems to have plenty of power. With two other sizes larger in this size frame I thought it would feel very under powered but it seems to me like it has plenty of power.
2. FEL
Plenty of lifting power, fast enough for me, LOVE the one stick control with float option.
3. HST
I'm SO glad I stuck it out & got the HST. It is so fast & easy to use. Very safe for unexperienced users. It going to work great with the snow blower too.
4. Overall design
I like the simple yet effective design. I like the hood & removable engine cowl design. The dash is simple but looks nice. I love the red color. The tractor is rugged.
5. Tires
I really like the R4s. A lot of the tractors I looked at before had AGs or turfs. Turf's would be a no-go for the winter & in the woods, AG's would have been too agressive on the lawn when doing landscaping.
6. Mid PTO
I don't know if I'll ever use it but the other brand tractors for the same price range usuallt did not have a mid PTO.
7. Traction factor
I can't belive where I have made this thing go!. The 4wd works great & with the rear axle locked in,..oh boy look out!
Dislikes:
1. The tool box
This thing is tiny, the latch is chintsy, & plastic. It's better than none at all though I guess.
2. The seat mount
The seat doesn't go back all the what to the gas tank which is too close to the dash if you are tall. Also the way the front hinge part is made is too light. Mine is already bent & I only wiegh 160#
3. The HST pedal
I like the double pedal BUT the mount/pivot point seems way too loose to me & has no grease fitting
4. The space between the rear tires & the inside fender support
Way too close. I have to buy wheel spacer to put tire chains on it. Not cool!
5. FEL slop on moving parts
Maybe it is made this way on purpose but it seem slike the pivot points have way too much side to side slop in them so when you grease the FEL it makes a big mess. It seems like things could have been tighter.
6. No rear hydraulic outputs
I know that's why this model is cheaper but hey it would be nice to have.
7. no cup holder.
LOL! not a big deal,...I'll just make one.
8. The parking brake
It is kind of cumbersome. Your pushing the pedal for all your worth but then have to reach way forward to pull the lever to lock it. Not a big deal but could have been a better set up.
Overall I think the tractor is great. I thank God every day for helping me get it. It is a blast to use & I was ready to spend a lot more on some older beat up tractors for sale.
