So far they're minor, but the first had (or has) the potential to be serious:

1) There's a hydraulic line on the left side of the engine that was wedged extremely tightly between the sharp edge of the frame and another line. I was able to carefully work it out over a period of about 30 mins. It was gouged quite a bit but I believe it's only an outer wrap...but I don't know for sure. I temporarily fixed it from getting worse by putting a piece of 1/8" thick rubber pad in between the line and the frame. I'm not sure how I'm gonna handle the permanent repair because the entire line needs to be rerouted to keep this from happening again. There isn't really enough room in there for all 3 of the lines that are in place.

2) These are most likely issues where the dealer dropped the ball. The tractor was very poorly prepped before being shipped by the dealer, Big Red's, in TX. I'm quite disappointed in the condition it was in on arrival. Aside from being filthy it was missing a retaining pin on the right side lower link arm adjustable stabilizer. Also, there was no washer fluid in the reservoir. They're admittedly pretty minor issues but I expect more from a dealer when I pay $28k for something.

The other issue was a known issue the dealer told me about. The plastic hood was pretty badly sun-faded. I tried a few things to brighten it up a bit without success. Then I remembered I had some Turtle Wax Trim Restorer that I'd used several years ago on the top of a 96 Bronco we had owned for about 10 years (since new). Worked like magic on the Bronco. I put it on the tractor hood, let it set for a few mins and wiped it off. What a difference. It lasted several months on the Bronco so I'm hoping it lasts as well on the tractor. I'm gonna put it on the rear fenders next. Before and after:

Other than those few issues this tractor is really nice. I can't imagine a better deal for the money on a 46 HP tractor with a fully-equipped cab, 2 sets of remotes in the rear and a 5 year warranty. To be fair to Big Red's, aside from the above minor things, it was a good buying experience overall. The price was fantastic and it arrived here in northern Idaho within a week of signing the paperwork. I was also told that if there was a warranty issue that couldn't be resolved I could take the tractor to any repair facility and Big Red's would cover the cost and submit it under the warranty. I'll be curious to see if that proves to be the case.

Still learning what gear combo works best for various chores. But it's very comfortable to drive and all the controls are within easy reach for me. This TYM compares very favorably to the MF 1736 or 1742 I looked at locally for several thousand more dollars. I was quoted $32,389 (+ tax) from a local dealer for a 1736 w/cab and got two online quotes from out-of-state dealers for $33k shipped on a new 1742 w/cab.

So far I'm happy.

Nice job on the hood. What does that hydraulic line go to?

Haven't figured that out yet. I lose it behind the engine and under the cab. Waiting on the service guy to tell me what hose it is.

Same hose. Mine tore a bit. Goes from the loader valve to the hydraulic pump.
