In looking at a future project, I am wondering if the mini-hoe on a PT425 might be used as a lifting boom for moderate weights.
Does anyone have experience using it that way?
A couple of questions come to mind:
1. Would it be able to lift approximately 200 lbs assuming you were not turning or moving far?
2. How high would it be able to lift at the mid-point and at the bucket (assuming proper attachment points are affixed)?
Projects in mind are raising wall framing sections that I could ALMOST raise myself and using it to install/pull a well pump (a few feet at a time with appropriate clamps, etc.), again something I can ALMOST manage with no equipment.
As the years go by, seems the lumber and piping are getting heavier even as actual sizes are decreasing.
Or could I be aging? Naw, couldn't be! But I do remember Eisehower being the President when I was in grade school.
Thanks!
Mark H.
