Never though until today of posting the picture ofmy first tractor project - backyard waterfall. I used the kubotab9200 with backhoe to lift granite curbing into place and to dig the hole for the tub that the water drops into.

I might do a water project in the spring, looking into ideas now.

Emery, Nice Job. I like to see what other folks are doing as it helps me formulate my plans. I have dreams of building a Water Mill at the top of our spring fed creek and cascading down into a pond. Purely aesthetic project however. Someday, maybe...

Just saw your post regarding the waterfall. Couple of questions. What type of pump and size do you use? Is there more than one pump bringing the water back up? The granite you show came from a used site? Or did you buy from vendor which I assume was very expensive.
I am working on a 5 year arbortium plan for my yard which will include a waterfall and I like your example.

Paul, the granite is recycled curbing stones that I got for free from local road project. Around here they do not reuse curbing as it takes to long to clean old stones so they always replace with new. I used ordinary silicon chauking to seal the joints.
The pump is a $50 1/3 horse submersible that has run fine now for 3 years. It pumps just about the right amount up about 10' height. I use ordinary garden hose and split the flow with a Y valve to 2 streams up on top.

Thanks for the reply, when you used the word granite the first thing that comes to mind is very hard stone and expensive.
