The front axle takes less oil than the manual describes. It lists a "front differential" and a "front axle" oil case. Actually, they are both just one reservoir.
Just fill the oil to the check hole or dipstick (depending on what you have), let it settle, then check it again. Most people in warm areas use gear oil rather than trans fluid.
Drain the front axle/differential oil from the two plugs on the bottom of the knuckles by each wheel. Some folks jack up the front and rock the front axle to make sure it all drains out. It doesn't have to be done again until 600 hours so might as well be thorough.
Be sure to save the round magnets that are inside the hydraulic filters. Most new filters don't come with them. Just wipe them off and re-install on the new filters.
"Lots of hydraulic fluid" is 15 gallons. I use a large washtub and then dip out the oil into 5 gallon containers with an old kitchen pot for recycling.
Engine oil is 3 gallons so the standard round oil change pan is not big enough. Can't remember if there are two drain plugs, one on each side of the propeller shaft. Too many tractors or too few brain cells to recall.
