1st Congrats to the other new Boomer owners, like myself, I read about earlier...
My wife and I went last saturday to her sister's house to pick up the brush cutter they are loning us...This was fun... We had a 4x8 trailer with side rails to pick up a 4' cutter...so of course the cutter was as wide as the rails so it would not sit on the deck. Our solution...sit 2 2x4's accross the rails and sit the cutter down on them. Then tie it down with about 80' of rope.(figured we had the rope use it).Got the cutter home hit the latch on the trailer(it's a tilt bed) drug it off with the tractor and a couple of tie downs.Next the fun part...hooking it up.I let the wife help here actually insisted. Finally get it hooked up and relize the pto shaft is way to long...(*!*#$*)/w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif Needless to say I had lotts of fun and the wife, well it was raining after all,was not happy. So when I get the shaft back from the welder (home made shaft from axels that came with it for us with an 83 JD 70hp ) I'll get back with ya'll. BTW the the 4' box blade works great!/w3tcompact/icons/cool.gif The realy good news is after my wife helped me with all the implement swapping I may have here sold on those QUICK CONNECT plates...Even after I told her about the cost. Since she's ony 5'4" and 110 soaking wet she had real hard time with hooking up the brush cutter. O' well we'll see.
