2 pin flat connector

If you cant find a cover how about using a mate plug- cut the wires off close and grease it up? It should keep everything ready to go.

That's what I did on mine on the tractor and it seems to work fine. I used the other half to cover the plug on the 12V sprayer to keep that clean as well.

Another thought rather that cutting the wires off close to the plug would be to leave them long enough so that you can use a bit if electrical tape to fasten the cover plug to the end of the live plug. Kinda like you might do with a drill chuck on the end of the drill cord. That way even when not in use it won't get lost and will always be handy.

Thanks, guys. Good suggestions. I was looking at doing that, too if i can't find a cover. Then I thought there must be a 2 pin flat cover plug with a lanyard on it to keep it from getting lost.

If anyone knows of such a part, please post it!

It wouldn't keep to from corroding, but the other day I bought a spring loaded keeper box thing that mounts on the trailer frame. It is to store the connector when not in use. They had different ones for the different styles of connectors.

I got it a Wal-Mart. It is a small ABS box that has a spring-loaded lid with a hole for the cord. It mounts with two self-taping screws that come with it. I don't remember the name brand, but they had different ones for different types of plugs.

Oh wait, you mean the actual 7 pin socket for the trailer plug??? If that's what you mean, I already have that and it's very cool.

What I thought you meant is an actual protective cover for the 7 pin trailer plug that keeps it from corroding.

I won't keep it from corroding; it just protects it from damage.

I brush electrical greas on bvoth the male and female pins on my trailer connectors to keep them from corroding.
