I needed a couple extra inches on my hitch to accommodate my drag style brush hog. Instead of cutting down the pto shaft I decided to lengthen the draw bar. On the longest position, it was just inches too short. I came up with welding a receiver tube to the draw bar. This now accepts all my standard ball mounts that I have and will provide the extra few inches that I need. This may not be the ideal solution for dragging a heavy plow but that is not really in my things to do with this old tractor. This is just a 2.5x2.5 tube with 3/16 wall. I welded some 1' x 3/16 straps over the tube for additional support.

That's cool.

The draw bar on my tractor was missing when I bought it. I plan to make a draw bar with a 48" piece of receiver hitch.

I'm mostly going to pull a chain harrow and hopefully a pull type bush hog.
