2-speed PTO on CK30HST

Can someone tell me if a 2-speed PTO is now standard on the CK30? All the books flyers, etc. state that it is optional, but mine has it, and I didn't order it. My dealer knew nothing about it either.

The 540 PTO speed is standard. The 1000 speed is optional. My CK30HST has the 1000 speed marked but it won't shift into that section. My dealer said that the 1000 speed is used in European countries on their implements, where in the USA, 540 is the standard speed. If yours has both, you got an extra. I don't know of any implements here using the 1000 speed. Maybe one of the members here can give you some info. about using that speed.

There should be a stop down by the shift lever, if you remove this it will allow you to go back to the 1000 speed. All the new CK30's and CK25's don't have this stop anymore so the lever goes all the way back. I didn't know it had the 2 speed either till I was playing with a new one. But yes you do have 1000. Its not used much though, most implements are 540RPM, I can still get some Land Pride 1000 RPM but have never sold any. 540 is the standard.

DePratt has told it like it is/was. There is a simple metal stop, if you look through the slit which the lever goes through, you'll see it at the rear of the lever run. Remove that, and you can get 1000 RPM, but it's not really needed.
It was originally an "option," but anyone could have made it standard!

My LK3054 has it too, but the only thing I've found to use it for is with my PTO driven BH pump. But given that the PTO pump has plenty of flow for the BH at well below 540, I can keep the RPMs down even in the 540 stting and still have plenty of power - so it wasn't worth much anyway. I keep meaning to put the block off plate back on, so I don't keep moving the lever past neutral.

At almost a 2:1 ratio, you just can't use it with 540rpm implements much - the engine doesn't make enough power at half the rated rpm.

That's nice to know. Thank you to Depratt and KiotiJohn. I guess I need to look over the tractor a little harder. I'm surprised my dealer didn't know that. This is why TBN is a great place.
