You will love the 853. Look at the power barrow, either to buy or build. It is probably my most used implement, especially in the winter moving firewood. And yes, ramps on the front porch and you have firewood delivered to the door, and my ramps are two sets of 2x8 with the aluminum plates for making ramps for a pickup, work even better for the porch. Now I just need another wheelbarrow bucket, mine is almost wore out.

Funny you mention that, I been eyeing the power barrow. Looks like it would be great for wood and handy in the garden. I can just drop it there for my wife when she is working and later take it out and dump it for her. Thinking about building one - may have to research that a bit!

look as the posts for Oldmeck and cmyoung2. I copied a lot of his ideas, fairly easy build. Caution on any power barrow, great for flat ground and going up and down hills, not so good for side hills, as in it is possible to roll the unit. Having steering brakes is also great.
The only issue I see in building one is finding the tub, unless you already have a busted wheelbarrow. I need a metal tub, so may change my design to be more of old style flat/open sided bin.
My wife calls it a mulch mobile, she likes it, which is good so I can get more attachments :)

Thanks for the info - The stability was a concern so I appreciate your comments. I found a new plastic tub wheelbarrow at Home Depot for about $70 - super light weight. Thought that would be a good way to help keep weight down. Thinking of using heavy piece of angle for mounting the swivel wheels (weight low), and making it about 34" (fits thought a small gate). Thinking I could get the whole thing built for about $125-150 including paint.

Menards sells contractor grade wheelbarrow tubs for $39.
I like cmyoung2's barrow design, and have that on my wish list of projects to do some day. For hillsides, I might use a tube-inside-a-tube design for the horizontal wings that hold the wheel spindles. That would allow you to slide the inside tubes outward to extend the horizontal wheel wings and gain extra width when needed. A simple pin would hold the tubes in place, either extended or contracted. A few extra inches would make it much more stable on side hills.

I like the tube in a tube idea, sort of like a old farmall's adjustable front end. $39 for a tub is not bad, we unfortunately don't have Menard's around here (Wish we did as I like them better than Home Depot/l or Lowes). I will have to check all the other places and see if I can find just a tub. Love to find that HD plastic type - nice and light! Wont be hauling heavy stuff with it, the 4 wheel tractors cover that job but getting compost and stuff like that in and out of the garden is where it will shine. Found some decent looking swivel wheels online so may start getting the parts together soon!

Look for Truper brand, that's what Menards sells as separate pieces and they have plastic tubs too. I think some farm stores sell them, and some are sold as a store brand too. You might find a local store selling Truper.

Not sure if I would be real concerned about the weight. My tub is an old (50+year old) contractor tub, heavy, but the BCS will easily pick it up.(Torque is incredible) I can haul as much firewood as I can stack, tub full of rock up a slope almost too steep to walk up. My outside width is about 38", could have cut that a little, but not much. Could be wider for stability, like the idea sliding tubes for added width. Mine will fit through our 4' gates, but not the greenhouse door. Have not been able to find a replacement tub locally, would rather have metal, won't melt when I'm hauling ashes from the outdoor stove.
Keep it simple, use plenty of scrap(my axles are shock absorber rods)
