20 Euros barbeque tax fee

I was just reading the paper and it had an article about Wallonia region in Belgium that is going to start charging for outdoor grilling, or barbecuing. If you want to grill outdoors you must pay 20 euros, ($35) for that privilage, each afternoon/night. It is to help cut down on global warming gases being released from the grill. The article also stated that there will be overhead patrolling with helicopters, with infared detectors/thermal sensor to detect burning grills. Flying choppers around to spot outdoor grilling seem to be more of a greenhouse gas emitter, than all the grilling itself. It will be interesting when California follows suit, and then the rest of the good old USA. Yea, right......

Unfortunately it is all true... never thought I would see it in my lifetime... and it is only the beginning.

I have restored a number of antique cars while living in California and not a year goes by without a major effort being made to ban them. These are cars driven less than 200 miles per year. Each year the state sends owners of 1985 and older cars letter encouraging you to "Voluntary" scrap them for the good of the environment.

California already bans BBQ on certain days, many types of paint, operation of gasoline lawn mowers on "Spare the Air Days", two-stroke out-board motors on lakes, restricts the use of wood burning fireplaces and prohibits new ones, the registration of portable and stationary diesel equipment, etc...

People better wake up and start getting their facts from other sources than just the main stream media. They are brain washing middle America and our schools are brain washing our kids. WAKE UP.

Dosen't surprise me....When I lived outside of Brussels in the '90s, it was against the law to cut your grass before noon on a Sunday. They had some strange laws but great food!

I honestly hope that type of thing never happens in the northeast ! Im certainly not bashing California, but it seems to be out of control out there ! Im all for preserving our enviroment but I think we need to find a happy medium in which to live also !

Solar storm effects have been known for a long time but ignored. Three or four cycles back there was an extremely strong event that reached ground level and knocked out the electrical power grid in the northern tier of states. We need a few chicken littles in the media to get attention.

Looks like we got two more weeks of winter here in New England. Global Warming my butt. The pan handle of Florida might get a dusting of snow next week as well. I have a feeling we maybe looking at a cold year or two. Things have a way of evening themselves out.
