20 to 40 Amp Retrofit???

Does anyone have any information on the wiring changes needed for the 20 amp to 40 amp alternator upgrade on X495 or X595 diesel? I see JD went to a 40 amp unit on the newer X740's models, and that they also make a retrofit kit; which naturally is really expensive. You can get the 40 amp alternators on ebay really reasonable; but I need either a wiring diagram for the newer X740's or retrofit instructions. Any help appreciated. Thanx!

Thinking about a cab for winter snowblowing; you know how that goes; pretty soon more lights, then electric wiper, then heater motors, etc!!!! Besides, new ones are coming through with the 40 amp standard; must be a reason.

If you go with a Curtis heater, it only draws 1.15 - 1.9 amps. They use a computer type fan. Their wiper draws 3.7 amps, max. If you install a dome light with a 1156 type bulb it draws 2.3 amps. A pair of 55w H3 bulbs will draw 8.3 - 9.0 amps.

If snow doesn't stick to the lamp lenses. How about dropping current with LED lights?
A battery tender could be connected to top up the battery when parked?
Is the machine operates revved up? Or idling and putting around at low rpms with all the electrical loads energized?
The 40amp kit is likely a heavier gauge stator and a higher capacity rectumfire. No spelling mistake as we had problems with DC power supplies at work for Years.
