$200 Cornstalk

I was cutting last years cornstalks in a food plot when my B7800 suddenly stopped and a little smoke came out from under the right side of the hood. . A cornstalk had knocked the top off the stop solenoid and I was dead in the field. $200 later I'm up and running!

I have a 1/2 diameter $350 twig to go with that had one slip in and get the radiator.

or a hidden twisted tree limb hiding in the tall grass just off the edge of a road ... 450 rad and tow job ...

or that one heavy duty electrical wire staple that works its way up thru the gravel driveway 10 years later .... and bites the tire ...

When I first bought my 790, I was driving around a field at the farm when the tractor died. Couldn't find the problem, but was able to get the pickup & trailer to it & hop it on a foot or so at a time. Took it to the dealer an hour away. Serviceman found the fuel was shut off! Apparently, when I was going through a patch of Sumac one hit the inch-long lever under the side panel, shutting off the fuel! ~~ Lowell

While clearing the camp road after a flood turned up a rock and knocked a hole in the hydraulic line under the tractor. Looked down and saw something wet on the road and saw it was coming from under the tractor. Was able to get it turned around and the bucket up. Back up to tractor and pushed it on the trailer. Little under a $100 to fix it but shortened the work weekend.

I was pushing brush a couple years ago with the 790, had the 3-pt disk on the back. Heard a "whish", got off, looked it over & found nothing. Finished the job & when I unhooked the disk & turned, one front tire pulled loose from the bead. I'd broken a valve stem! With the disk on, the R4 tire showed no problem until I unhooked the disk. Got it on the trailer & stopped by the tire shop on the way home, fixed without unloading it! ~~ Lowell
