200 hour service for x540

Sorry if this is already covered somewhere. How critical is it to perform the valve lash service at the 200 hour mark on my x540? I'm of the opinion run it the way you broke it in and don't go creating problems.
I'd love to hear of any experiences with this.

Kawis are pretty tight engines and valve lash will affect ease of starting and carbon build-up to name a few. If you wait for the valves to start making noise before you adjust them (in my experience with a Kawi) some damage will already have been done - possibly enough to cause a seating issue. Just my :2cents:
