2001 JD 4400 used

I have spent the last year researching just about every new tractor out there. But thanks to the communist we have in the white house now I am considering buying used. I have realized with only 15acres I can probably buy used and save myself a lot of money. My local JD dealer has a 2001 4400 with 3 cylinder Yanmar engine with 550hrs. 4WD R4 tires and a 430 quick tatch FEL with 73" HD bucket. Power beyond rear hydrolic kit and a 12F/12R sync. Reverser Transmission. They are asking $14,995. I would not pay this but I would be interested in talking numbers if this price is in the ball park. I would appreciate any advice on the tractor it self and or the price.

Price doesn't sound bad at all..and during my tractor searches, I did find prices in New England tended to be higher then other areas of the country.
The 4400 is a good machine...quite tough.

Only negative I see is the sync tranny.
I'd go HST.

Reverser, not sync...easy as pie, less HP loss then an HST...truly an asset.
Now, my tractor is a gear...not a syncro...and works every bit as tough. We gear guys are just more manly, that's all...

I don't want to hi-jack the thread here but I am also in the same boat potentially. I found a 2002 4400 with 430 fel. I am trying to find the lift capacties of this machine both the loader and 3-point. Can anyone help us out with these??

It would be worth about 10-12K around here. If you would be interested in a deere 4400 with a Jodale Perry Boxer Cab and a 72 inch deck with turf tires I am considering selling my rig. The front tires are pretty bald, the rear are excellent. It has about 1200 hours and is in excellent shape. It also has the 430 loader. The mower deck has the green paint, but is not a 7 iron deck. It is in excellent shape though. It has a rear hydraulic also. Dont know what shipping would be but am asking 16000
