Lights don't flash, bulbs appear to be good. Where is the flasher module and how do I get to it?

If you go to:

New Holland Parts - Best diagrams, pricing and service!

And enter your tractor's model number you can get to a number of exploded view drawings showing you were all the parts of your tractor are located. You have to select different categories like Electrical or Engine, but its amazing what you can find.

Your flasher relay is located behind the cowling on the right hand side; just above/next to your brake peddles.

OK, I hate to have to be spoon-fed, but me and Jack D. have killed a lot of brain cells over the years. It took me a while to learn my way around my 8N...guess it's gonna take me a while longer for this TC29D. I have the diagram pulled up...I have the hood up and the side panel off. How do I get behind the cowling?

There is a switch on top of one of the tail lights, make sure it is on,I also think there is a flasher inside that light.

It's my experience that New Holland thinks their flashers are made of gold. When you locate it, take it to NAPA and see if they have a match. You may be able to buy it for as little as 1/10 the NH price.

Flashers are working now! Thanks to all for your help and suggestions. I had to work for my supper on this one...bought a service manual online at what I thought was a reasonable price and was able to locate the flasher and how to get to it. The worst problem was plugging in the new flasher module ($3 and change at the local auto parts store). I had to do it one-handed...kinda tricky, grabbing a two-prong pigtail (blind) and plugging in a two-prong flasher module, but...I got it done. Next trick was getting the el-cheapo lights to work. Bulbs were OK, but had to be jiggled around in the sockets to work. Cleaned off the contact points best I could, bent, pulled and prodded 'til they both flashed as they should. Now, let's see what they do after a few hours of bouncing around.

I know this is an old thread, but in case someone searches for this in the future, Messicks site must be wrong. I looked up the flasher unit on Partspring and it's $9.55; Part Number E9NN13350AA.

Their shipping is outrageous - It seems to be $17 per part.

Flasher is now $19 at Messicks. O'Reilly's here I come...
