When I let go of the forward pedal it seems to get struck going forward. It doesn't happen going backwards. I feel like it is in the pedal assembly but don't know for sure. Is there an adjustment or something that needs lubed?
Thanks
Bob

You might have a return spring that has come loose.

the spring looks ok to me!
It doesn't do it all the time either.

Actually, I have the exact same problem but have not had a chance to take a look at it. I would think just some lube would do it. I'm sure somebody else has run into this & will chime in.

Lying on you back look straight up between the two pedals. You will see a roller that rides on a "B" shaped plate. Neutral is when the roller is resting between the 2 humps of the "B". Make sure this area is free from dirt and debris. Give the roller and "B" plate a good coat of grease.

I know this seems hard to understand. Once you find the roller and "B" plate then move the pedals and it will all make sense.

Under load mostly right? Go to the New Holland O&O section and search for this problem on the TC 35-40-45 D series. There is an extensive thread with great pics of the repair procedure. My dealer either adjusted or possibly replaced the return spring to solve the problem. It makes for a much stiffer pedal but it stops the problem.

Lube the "B" plate good and keep your RPMs up (don't load the engine below 2000 RPM). If that doesn't solve the problem, add a bigger return spring.

In a nutshell...When the engine starts to lug down, the charge pump for the hydrostatic cannot pump enough fluid with enough pressure to bring the swashplate back to neutral. By keeping the RPM up or adding a larger spring, you help eliminate the problem. I still forget to keep my RPM up sometimes, and find myself reaching over to force neutral by pressing on the reverse pedal. I would say its a design fault of our NHs, but one I can live with.

You are in it... /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif New Holland Owning & Operating. Just search this forum.

You probably won't find too much more than you've already found out in this thread though.
