Just got my ZD21 back from service and I got lucky and I have a great dealer(Horizon Lawn and Tractor). I was worried that one of the transmissions was going out. One side was not going as fast as the other and it was making a bit of screeching noise when i moved that side of the lever. Talked to dealer about it and he said do not drive it in case any metal shavings might be in the fluid. He picked it up at my house and about week later brought it back. The problem was simply on that side, the brake was grabbing causing the slow speed and screeching noise. WEW! he fully serviced and replaced blades. I am good to go for the summer!! I never want another gas powered mower. Love that diesel! On my other ZTR (woods mowingmachine), it took 5 gal gas to mow my 3 acres. The zd will mow the 3 acres 3 times(i have done 4 times once) on 5 gal of diesel. That slow speed and noise had me pretty worried, but the Lord took care me!
